About Block Zero
Block Zero is an exciting third-person action browser game set in an open, low-poly city environment. This free online game puts you in the shoes of a blocky mutant navigating through a city divided into three distinct zones: peaceful residential blocks, a quarantine zone overrun with infected, and a corporate base in the north. Block Zero’s open-world gameplay invites players to sprint, glide, and wall-run across rooftops, offering thrilling action and adventure for fans of 3D platform and combat games.
In Block Zero, every wall and roof becomes part of an agile playground. Sprint into a building to run up its walls, hold down the jump button to glide across gaps, and dash mid-air to land precisely where you want. Your first move in this zombie-themed action-adventure game is a daring leap from a rooftop into a crowd of infected, immediately showcasing the fast-paced ninja-style combat and parkour mechanics that define Block Zero. The gameplay combines elements of fighting and agility games, as you use claw combos with auto-aim, knock-ups, and score multipliers to take down enemies with satisfying hit-stop effects and dynamic camera kicks.
Block Zero offers a variety of missions through resistance terminals scattered across the city. These missions challenge players to thin out infected hordes, hunt specific targets, or destroy enemy nests resisting in waves. Successfully weakening enemies allows you to absorb them to heal, grow biomass, and even disguise yourself to bypass security forces. This combat and survival mechanic adds depth to the zombie apocalypse experience found in Block Zero. Between missions, you can engage in medal challenges including rooftop runs and smash arenas filled with cars, drones, and turrets, perfect for players who enjoy destruction games and want to test their skills in bronze, silver, and gold tiers.
The detailed open-world design of Block Zero lets players explore 64 city blocks without loading screens or invisible barriers. This makes for seamless exploration and platforming in this 3D action-adventure web game. The game supports multiple input methods, including mouse and keyboard or touch controls, and it can be played in both landscape and portrait modes—making Block Zero flexible and accessible for different types of players who enjoy open-world games and zombie apocalypse themes.

How to Play
1. Press "Play". You start on a rooftop above a crowd of infected — jump down into them. The first mission teaches every move on the way: fighting with borrowed mauls, absorbing, throwing a car, running up a wall and gliding.
2. Move with WASD or the arrow keys (on a touch screen — the stick on the left half of the screen). Hold Shift or push the stick to the edge to sprint.
3. Sprint into a wall to run up it. Tap Space for a short jump, hold it for a high one; hold it in the air to glide. Ctrl (or the Dash button in the air) dashes forward.
4. Left click (the Attack button) strikes with claws — tap three times for a combo. The camera turns with the mouse after a click on the game; without mouse capture drag with the right button (on a touch screen — drag on the right half).
5. A weakened enemy gets a marker: press E (the context button) to absorb it.
6. Q (the Echo button) highlights mission targets through walls. Esc or the pause button in the top-left corner pauses the game.
7. Terminals give missions: walk up to one and press E. The arrow at the screen edge points to the goal.
8. Hold the attack button for a maul smash (after mission 4); F (the Harpoon button) hooks and pulls enemies in (after mission 7); Tab (the Form button) switches arm forms.
9. E next to a car lifts it; E or attack throws it — the best answer to drones, turrets and the helicopter.
10. Yellow pillars start medal challenges outside missions and alerts: press E (the context button) next to one. R (the circle-arrow button) restarts a challenge at once; the "Daily challenge" card in the menu takes you straight to today's one.
11. The "Achievements" button in the menu lists all 10 achievements: each with its icon, name, what to do to unlock it and your progress.
