Math Meteors
About Math Meteors
Math Meteors is an exciting free online game that combines arcade action with educational fun, making it the perfect math quiz and brain-training game for players looking to sharpen their mental skills. In Math Meteors, meteors carrying math problems drift down toward a planet, and it is your job to type the correct answers on the keypad to explode the meteors before they hit the surface. This unique arcade-style math game challenges players to quickly solve arithmetic problems, providing a dynamic way to practice math in an entertaining setting.
As a one-player game, Math Meteors focuses on casual gameplay and reaction time, making it accessible for all ages and skill levels. The game offers multiple tiers of problems, starting with simple addition and subtraction within ten and gradually introducing multiplication, division, two-step problems, and even brackets with two-digit numbers. This variety ensures that Math Meteors serves as both a learning game and a mind game. Whether you want to improve your basic math skills or challenge your brain with increasingly difficult problems, Math Meteors delivers a stimulating experience.
The arcade nature of Math Meteors is enhanced by the fast-paced and engaging gameplay. The sky in the game “breathes,” alternating calm periods with busier ones, and every minute triggers an intense ten-second Apocalypse event where meteors come in a storm that tests your speed and accuracy. Math Meteors also includes features like splitting meteors and boss meteors with multi-step math chains, which add an extra layer of challenge and excitement. These features make Math Meteors not just a simple educational quiz game but an engaging arcade challenge that keeps your brain active and your reflexes sharp.
Players can choose from three difficulty levels in Math Meteors, adjusting how fast and how often meteors appear. This scaling difficulty makes Math Meteors suitable for different players, from beginners to those seeking a brain-training challenge. The game also offers various modes, such as Times Tables mode focusing on multiplication, and Squares mode involving squares and square roots, each with its own records and leaderboard. This variety of modes delivers a broad educational impact while maintaining the fun, fast-paced challenge of an arcade game.
One of the benefits of Math Meteors is its simple yet effective input method. Players type answers directly instead of multiple-choice guessing, emphasizing real mental math and typing practice. You can play Math Meteors using a keyboard, mouse, or touchscreen, and the game supports both portrait and landscape orientations, making it versatile for different devices and play styles.
In addition to the core gameplay, Math Meteors rewards players for their achievements and daily play. There are eight achievements to unlock, earning badges that track important milestones in your brain-training journey. A daily reward system encourages consistent play by awarding stars for login streaks of three, seven, and thirty days. This mix of educational content, arcade action, and reward progression makes Math Meteors a compelling choice for anyone seeking a fun and effective math quiz, arcade, and brain-training game.

How to Play
1. Press "Play" — the round starts at once with the last mode and difficulty (the first time, the planet asks you to pick them). To change them, use the mode tiles and the difficulty switch under "Play" or on the result screen: all problems, + −, × ÷, times tables or squares; Easy, Normal or Hard.
2. Solve the problem and type the answer on the keypad — on the right in landscape, at the bottom in portrait: digits, ⌫ deletes, ✓ submits. On a computer keyboard use digits, Backspace and Enter.
3. The meteor with the typed answer explodes and scores: every period of the round raises the multiplier (×2 → ×16), and difficulty multiplies it again — Easy ×1, Normal ×2, Hard ×4.
4. A meteor that reaches the planet takes one of three lives. Lose them all and the round is over. Once a round you are offered "Watch an ad to continue" first: the ad brings one life back and clears the sky, your score stays.
5. On the result screen switch the mode or the difficulty if you like and press "Play again", or return to the main menu.
6. The pause button in the corner of the keypad lets you continue, open the settings (volume and language) or return to the main menu.
7. Every round goes to the leaderboard of its mode by itself; the "Leaderboard" button shows the global and the personal table of each mode.
8. Every round pays gold. Spend it in the "Shop" (or press the wallet at the top right) on traps, or watch a video there for more gold — up to three a day, the card counts them. In a round use a trap with its button over the keypad or the keys Q (ice), W (reverse) and E (blast). Ice holds the sky still, reverse sends the meteors back up — the fast ones crash into the slow ones — and blast destroys every meteor on the field.
9. The "Achievements" button in the menu lists all eight achievements with what each one is awarded for. They unlock by themselves as you play — a badge lands in the collection under your name. Once a day the menu offers the daily reward: take it, and the streak grows; three, seven and thirty days in a row each add a star.
Tip: shoot the meteor that will land first — the fast ones have a long tail. When the countdown 3 · 2 · 1 starts, get ready for the Apocalypse.
